ABOUT BMHA

The Butler Metropolitan Housing Authority is committed to building stronger neighborhoods by providing housing options and professional services for eligible residents of Butler County. BMHA is a public agency chartered by the State of Ohio, funded by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide subsidized housing for eligible citizens of Butler County.

As a public agency, with the support of our Board of Commissioners and a commitment from all staff, we have a shared responsibility to provide results-oriented, quality work and services for our residents.

We are committed to the principles of fair housing and equal opportunity for all.  Respect for the dignity of our clients is the foundation for all that we do.  BMHA is an organization in which leadership, teamwork, and respect for the individual are valued.

It is our belief that residents deserve no less than our best efforts, given the public trust placed in BMHA. We are dedicated to helping our residents to help themselves and providing assistance, while encouraging self-sufficiency and good citizenship.

All families participating in the programs are subject to federal rules and regulations.  It is our responsibility to enforce these to assure program compliance.  At the same time, we strive to meet the goal of balancing compliance with customer service and will make every effort to assist our clients in understanding each of our roles and responsibilities.

Thank you for your interest in the programs of Butler Metropolitan Housing Authority.  We look forward to working together to meet the goals and commitments of this agency as we reach out to our communities and the needs of those we serve.
